History - it's true (confirmed by manuscript and archeology evidence)

Teaching - it works (in the home/family, in the nation, and eventually in the world)

Prophecy and miracles - it's confirmed (confirms the Source of the teaching as the Providential Hand of God guiding all events). Like no other book, one-fourth of Biblical verses are prophetic foretelling events before they take place!

What the Bible, the Word of God, says about itself:

Psalm 33.4-9 – God spoke and created the universe - His Word faithfully defines reality

Psalm 19 – nature reveals God’s attributes as does Scripture to perfection v11, cr Proverbs 30.5,6

1 Peter 1.23-24 – God’s Word, the News about forgiveness through Jesus, is powerful to save people from eternal separation from God to eternal life together with Him in heaven

Hebrews 4.12 – God’s Word is alive and speaks today and reveals the heart motives of people

2 Timothy 3.16,17 – The Bible is God breathed

John 1.1-5,14,18 – God’s Word became flesh – Jesus shows us and tells us Who God is as He is God in the flesh

Hebrews 1:1,2 – God’s Word is the final Word in Jesus determining the destiny of all

It’s like a manual for life. It’s even more, it’s a love letter to each one of us.

Even more, it’s alive! And speaks to me personally!

Jesus speaks:

The spoken word is a miraculous and powerful thing transferring the thoughts of one individual to the mind of another for knowledge, understanding and intimacy. There are other means of communication, but none can beat the spoken word. Words must, however, fall on a functional receptive organ.

Relationship through communication with God in the spiritual realm is REAL life, indeed. Unfortunately, the human spiritual ear is dead. Even if it was functional, none are willing to listen. “There is no one who understands, no one who seeks God.”[1]  We are all hearing impaired in our rebellion against our Creator.

Jesus is the Word of God in the flesh Who explains God.[2] He calls, “He who has ears, let him hear!”[3]  Jesus is the Master Physician Who can open our ears to our Creator God. With TV, radio, cell phones, computers there is a constant background noise in our fast-paced lives which make it hard to hear God speak. Take time to hear Him – through a friend who knows Him, through His Word, the Bible, through prayer.

God is holy, pure and perfect and we are not. He has provided a Savior in Jesus Whose death paid the penalty for our disobedience and rebellion.[4] God, the Father, allowed His Son, Jesus, to go through the hell of separation and death, so you and I can have a relationship with this loving heavenly Father, God. He calls you. Respond![5]

Jesus is alive today and He speaks through the Word of God, the Bible!
